Constant-Time Quantum Algorithm For The Unstructured Search Problem
نویسنده
چکیده
Given an item and a list of values of size N . It is required to decide if such item exists in the list. Classical computer can search for the item in O(N). The best known quantum algorithm can do the job in O( √ N). In this paper, a quantum algorithm will be proposed that can search an unstructured list in O(1) to get the YES/NO answer with certainty.

A Quantum Evolutionary Algorithm for the Vehicle Routing Problem with Single-sided Time Window Setting
Customer service level is of prime importance in today competitive world and has various dimensions with delivery quality being one of the most important ones. Delivery quality has several parameters such as deliver time window options, time window size, etc. In this paper we focus on one of these parameters, namely time window setting. It has a direct impact upon customer satisfaction and busi...
متن کاملGrover's Algorithm with Errors
Grover’s algorithm is a quantum search algorithm solving the unstructured search problem of size n in O( √ n) queries, while any classical algorithm needs O(n) queries [3]. However, if query has some small probability of failing (reporting that none of the elements are marked), then quantum speed-up disappears: no quantum algorithm can be faster than a classical exhaustive search by more than a...
متن کاملAdiabatic quantum search algorithm for structured problems
The study of quantum computation has been motivated by the hope of finding efficient quantum algorithms for solving classically hard problems. In this context, quantum algorithms by local adiabatic evolution have been shown to solve an unstructured search problem with a quadratic speedup over a classical search, just as Grover’s algorithm. In this paper, we study how the structure of the search...
متن کاملA Time Dependent Pollution Routing Problem in Multi-graph
This paper considers a time dependent(the travel time is not constant throughout the day) pollution routing problem (TDPRP), which aids the decision makers in minimizing travel time, toll cost and emitted pollution cost. In complexity of urban areas most of the time one point is accessible from another with more than one edge. In contrast to previous TDPRP models, which are designed with only ...
متن کاملQuantum Computers and Unstructured Search: Finding and Counting Items with an Arbitrarily Entangled Initial State
Grover’s quantum algorithm for an unstructured search problem and the Count algorithm by Brassard et al. are generalized to the case when the initial state is arbitrarily and maximally entangled. This ansatz might be relevant with quantum subroutines, when the computational qubits and the environment are coupled, and in general when the control over the quantum system is partial.
